Pete Smith has spent the last 30 years creating sales and marketing strategies for major pharmaceutical companies. He has recruited, hired and managed multiple high-performing sales teams throughout the state of Ohio and surrounding states. He leveraged his recruitment and leadership skills during a six year tenure with Beachwood’s Civil Service Commission, which he chaired for the last 18 months. Most recently, Pete was appointed to the Beachwood City Council where he currently serves. Pete is passionate about continuing to build an identity for Beachwood that will attract and retain the young families that are the backbone of all vibrant cities.
Pete was born, raised, and educated on the East Coast. He relocated to northeast Ohio in 2002 and moved to Beachwood in 2007 where he raised three children with his wife of 33 years, Lisa Gaines. Pete has a history of community involvement in the city of Beachwood including serving as a Destination Imagination coach and judge, and as a member of Diversity Matters in Beachwood.
